Worldcon PSA
For those of you who haven’t been to Canada since Torcon in 2003, please note. You will need a Passport to travel in or out of the U.S. and Canada.
No longer will a driver’s license and birth certificate work, even if you are driving across.
Since it rakes several weeks to get a passport you should get going NOW.
Most Post Offices will process the applications and some travel agencies (are they still around?) as well. If you live in a large city, there may be a State Department office that will process apps as well.
The passports are good for 10 years so you can use it for Aussiecon in 2010 as well, just check on whether you need a visa for Australia, you don’t need a visa for Canada.
